‘Arknights: Endfield’ On PS5 Offers Both Flashy Action & Deep Automation

Arknights: Endfield aims to incorporate anime-style combat and industrial automation on the unfriendly planet of Talos-Ⅱ.

Hypergryph co‑founder and director Light Zhong said, “Our team has been working to create a new kind of experience set in the Arknights universe, one that blends real-time squad combat, exploration, and large-scale industrial systems into a single, interconnected adventure.”

The game launched on January 22, in which the player acts as the Endministrator tasked with developing humanity.

As the Endministrator, you are responsible for leading Operators to secure and rebuild civilization through Talos-Ⅱ’s wastelands. Every journey will be worth your while because, as you explore new areas, you unlock new sites to build and new resources to harvest.

Players are in direct control of one character, while the AI will manage the other ones. The player can swap Operators mid-fight for whatever best suits them in their current situation. A basic attack leads into a stronger attack that will increase an enemy’s stagger bar and restore SP. A filled bar leaves the enemy vulnerable.

Execution attacks deal a ton of damage and replenish even more SP. When operators are in the correct position, different abilities can chain into combo skills. The real reward comes from precise positioning and timing rather than just going with the flow.

The Automated Industry Complex is a factory-style system that is the backbone of the entire operation. This system is responsible for creating gear, supplies and exploration tools. The player is responsible for placing facilities, linking production lines and unlocking tech nodes.

PS5 users will experience DualSense haptics and adaptive triggers, as well as 3D audio that will enhance both combat and the Industrial side of things. Players get the best of both worlds here with an action RPG game that features both the flashy combat and technical side of things, including base-building.
