‘Back 4 Blood’ Open Beta Has Begun – Here’s How To Get Access Codes

The Back 4 Blood open beta recently began on August 5 for a limited number of individuals. This early-access period to the beta will run until August 9. All pre-orders of the game included an access code to the beta, but there is another path to gain an early access code via Twitch streams. The beta will be open to all players from August 12 to August 16.

Back 4 Blood is a new cooperative shooter game where players take on hordes of zombies. The beta itself will feature a mode called a swarm, where players fight against each other. There will also be missions of the Co-op campaign.

The title is being developed by Turtle Rock Studios, who are responsible for the Left 4 Dead series of co-op zombie shooter games. Left 4 Dead 2, the most recent installment in the Left 4 Dead franchise, was released in November 2009.

An access code to the open beta can also be acquired through Twitch without preordering the game. According to the game’s website, players will receive a code after completing five steps. First, players must sign in with a Warner Bros. Games account. Next, they will have to connect the Warner Bros. Games account to their Twitch account. This can be done through the “account settings” tab on the Warner Bros. website. The third step requires players to watch a Back 4 Blood stream with Twitch drops for 60 minutes between 3 p.m. EST on August 5 and 3 p.m. EST. After this is done, players should head over to the Twitch drops homepage to collect the Drop. A code for any platform will then become available through the Warner Bros. Games website.

Back 4 Blood is set to release on October 12. The title will be available for Playstation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, and PC. Xbox Game pass will also carry the game when it launches. The game is currently available for pre-order.
