Nintendo has had great success when introducing new games and series to the Nintendo Switch. They’ve succeeded with the introduction of Animal Crossing, and the company hopes to repeat the successes by releasing Saints Row IV: Re-Elected for a whole new generation of gamers.
The game, which sold over one million copies in its first week of release back in 2013, has an incredibly wild plot-line, to say the least. You are only able to play as a member of a notorious street gang, that existed in a fictitious town in the Northern Midwest.
In former Saints Row games, players loyally fought with their gangs in street warfare, launched a clothing line and even started their own energy drink company. In the fourth game, the player will find themselves as the President of the United States. You don’t even get to experience leading the nation, as the player is forced to fight off aliens that are destined to take over Earth.
Unlike other Saints Row games, the player is given super-human powers that almost make a player feel indestructible. In former games, players were restricted to weapons that could be found in games like Grand Theft Auto IV. In the third game, developers added in humorous weapons. In this game, the player is capable of using telekinesis to throw vehicles, utilize alien guns, and even use a ‘Dubstep Gun’ which forces all enemies – human, alien or any other personified object the developers will hurl at you – to break out into freestyle dances.
Unfortunately, Deep Silver is yet to comment on the release of a Saints Row 5 game.
