Pokémon: Detective Pikachu (The Pokémon Company/Warner Bros./Legendary)
Pokémon Detective Pikachu, the franchise’s first live-action film, arrives in theaters on May 10. Ryan Reynolds is portraying the titular lead, an intelligent, comical Pikachu who claims to be a great detective. But Pokémon fans who don’t want to wait for Friday can now watch the full-length feature on YouTube thanks to a user named Inspector Pikachu.
Inspector Pikachu posted the video on Tuesday, and Reynolds quickly tweeted out about it:
The video begins as one would expect the film to (save for the curious “R. Reynolds” watermark); the Warner Bros., Legendary Films and The Pokémon Company logos appear before transitioning to an opening scene with human protagonist Tim Goodman (Justice Smith). But then the “leaked” film abruptly shifts into footage of Detective Pikachu dancing, which loops for an hour and forty minutes.
