Former ‘Elder Scrolls’ Developers Regroup Under A New Studio, Tease New RPG

Elder Scrolls is a prominent name in this medium, with its latest installment, Skyrim, becoming one of Bethesda’s biggest games. However, several individuals who worked on the smaller-scale 1994 original have regrouped to form a new studio, OnceLost Games. They’re working on a new game.

According to the teases released thus far, their debut title will be a “massive open-world fantasy adventure, and will boast revolutionary technology and game design.” Former Elder Scrolls developer Julian LeFay, who’s known as the “father” of that series, confirmed in a Reddit AMA that he is working as OnceLost’s technical director. The studio’s goal is “to meet the gap between the deep, complex design pillars of games from the 1990’s.” Details aside from that are scarce (and likely will be for a while), but it’ll be exciting to see these industry veterans create something new.
