‘Gears 5’ Second Tech Test Start Time And Info

Microsoft’s Gears 5 Tech Test ended earlier on Sunday, wrapping up the first beta period before the September release. There will be another Tech Test coming on July 26 at 1 p.m. EST, and will finish at the end of that weekend, July 29. If you missed the first Tech Test, you should prepare yourself for the second one.

The program is already available to pre-order and download if you download it through the Xbox One store or on PC. The Coalition, a developer under Microsoft that has taken charge of Gears 5, is producing their first AAA game. There was a performance stoppage during the first Tech Test, which is expected as the developers are testing the servers and trying to throw users into the lobbies. Coalition tweeted, “While we resolve some of the issues as soon as possible, you may see an increase to estimated wait time to get in,” it explained. “The actual wait time will decrease dramatically as we stabilize the services and let in more players. Thanks for your patience.”

It seems Gears 5 is going to have a ton of customization options in terms of accessibility features. Just in the beta, Coalition is throwing plenty of options regarding players’ sensitivity and camera. Gears 5′s multiplayer seemed to be an overall success with it’s first Tech Test, and are set to build upon that with their second.

The Tech Test contains just three versus modes, including Arcade, Escalation and King of the Hill. There are just two multiplayer maps, but also gives the new Bootcamp mode, which is basically a tutorial mode for those new players that want to learn the basics of the game. The two multiplayer maps are District and Training Grounds.

In order to join the second Tech Test, you need to either pre-order Gears 5, or subscribe to the Xbox Game Pass.
