If You Play Tetris 99 This Weekend, You Could Get An ‘Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ Theme

It appears the Animal Crossing: New Horizons fever has been spreading rampant around the world. People were lining up in South Korea to have a chance to get a Nintendo Switch to play the game. The Detroit Lions used the game to announce their schedule for the 2020 NFL season. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has been using the game to interact with fans and spread kind messages. Now Tetriss 99 is getting in on the action.

Players of the popular tile-matching puzzle game, if they are able to score 100 during the games 13th Maximus Cup (running from May 15-May 18), will be able to earn a Animal Crossing: New Horizons theme for their Tetris game.

Nintendo released a video on their YouTube channel showing what the new theme could look like for players.

All that players need to do to earn the theme is to play in the game’s competitive online mode sometime this weekend, win once, come in second twice or lose 100 times at one point a piece.
