While the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been MIA for 2020, the world of gaming has been picking up the slack for Earth’s mightiest heroes. Along with games like Marvel’s Avengers and Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Fortnite has been one of the go-to games for Marvel fans to play. For the past year, Marvel has teamed up with Epic Games to allow players to gain gear to make them look and play like Marvel heroes, such as Iron Man, Wolverine, Groot and many more.
With Fortnite Chapter 2, season 4 coming to an end, Epic is ending this latest season with the coming of Galactus. Starting December 1 at 4 p.m., The Devourer of Worlds will arrive in the world of Fortnite. While this will drive millions of fans of both Marvel and Fortnite to play Epic Games’ battle royale shooter, it will also take a toll on the servers, as it did with previous events. Because of this, Epic Games has recommended players download the update an hour before the event went live in one of their blog posts.
The actual event sees players taking on Galactus via the flying buses that are used to drop-in players to a match. To learn what happens next, you’ll have to play Fortnite. The Galactus event is now available on Fortnite.
