Everyone’s favorite blue-hued robot hero is back! Mega Man will, as expected, relive the later years of his life in the upcoming Mega Man Legacy Collection 2.
The included games are indeed Mega Man 7 through Mega Man 10, which includes the 16-bit and 32-bit numbered installments in the classic series. Additionally, this includes the two excellent 8-bit throwbacks. However, there’s currently no word if Mega Man 8 is based upon its PlayStation or SEGA Saturn incarnation.
In terms of new additions to the legacy, newcomers can wear the “Extra Amor” feature to cut the damage taken in half. Players can also utilize checkpoints to resume their side-scrolling from any point. Furthermore, veteran gamers can test their skills in the new “Challenge Mode.” Aim for the high score on the online leaderboards!
Plus, a museum is also integrated into the package, which chronicles several pieces of the classic hero’s history. And, if you’re going to be at E3 next week, Capcom will have a demo!
Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 will blast into stores on August 8 for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
