Microsoft Announces Pre-Order Time For Xbox Series X and S

While we had to wait a while to learn when the Xbox Series X would be launching, Microsoft finally announced when the new system would be released. Starting November 10, gamers and general consumers will be able to purchase the Xbox Series X and S at their retailer of choice. But, beginning September 22, you’ll have the chance to pre-order either the Xbox Series X or S. Now, Microsoft officially revealed the time when retailers will allow consumers to pre-order the new Xbox systems.

Starting at 8 a.m. PT/11 a.m. ET on September 22, places like Amazon, Target, Walmart, Best Buy, Costco, Sam’s Club, Gamestop, Newegg and the Army and Airforce Exchange Service will begin to accept pre-orders for the upcoming Xbox Series X and S.

Unlike the PlayStation 5, which caused several retail websites to crash due to the sheer volume of people attempting to pre-order the console, Microsoft promise to have a much smoother experience.

Microsoft’s competitor, Sony, announced that the PS5 would arrive on store shelves on November 12. All major retailers are no longer accepting pre-orders on the new system.

The Xbox Series X will launch at $499, while the Series S will launch with a price tag of $299 alongside it’s X counterpart.
