Nintendo’s Switch Leak Reveals Anti-Troll Mechanics

Nintendo’s Beta testing program gave players a gift – or inexplicable curse – of a future game release.

Players signed up for the playtest with the terms of service caveat of not releasing any content to the world. Soon, players began disregarding the documentation by releasing unviewed testing content. Nintendo has removed the content, signaling a real-time confirmation of its legitimacy.

Nintendo Switch Leaks

The game and its mechanics are gaining traction on the interwebs. The possible first leaker on X @Ethan_ThisGuy posted images with the missive, “Hope Nintendo doesn’t kill me for this.” The posted images have been removed.

Nintendo pressed X to remove the leak, which it did “in response to a report from the copyright holder.”

From Discord to Reddit subfeeds, this game leak resonated with the Nintendo player base. In Reddit feed /R, Nintendo user Accurate-Wing-5511 called for the leaks to stop five months ago, citing previous games where this ruined the surprise.

The conceptualized game involves proto-socialization MMO skills crossbred with building your paradise at checkpoints where you can level. At these checkpoints, you can purify and heal lands as you interact, giving throwback vibes to anything related to Merge Dragons, Castleville or the Wii’s discontinued Miiverse.

The game emphasizes respectful communication and rewards socialization at “dev cores” or social hubs, allowing you to build your little world into a domain within your parameters.

By rewarding players for positive communication points, this mechanic slows down internet trolls while attempting to fix problems with player toxicity and limiting optional paths for player interactions. Each player can build within their domain, allowing creativity to flow freely as long as it follows the adage of do no harm. With this mechanic, Nintendo showed its true colors as a Japanese-based company, as respectful communication is a top priority for them. Thankfully, there’s a player report button, so there is hope for humanity if someone becomes too crafty in their verbiage.

Nintendo has not made it clear if or when this will be released, but in true MMO style, a wireless connection is suggested to enhance server-based gameplay.
