‘The Boys: Trigger Warning’ Will Be The First Video Game In ‘The Boys’ Universe

This week, the reveal trailer for an official video game based on the hit Amazon Prime series, The Boys, was released.

The trailer opens with players on an ominous amusement park ride, as the show’s creepy “See Something, Say Something” song from season four, episode seven plays in the background. The coaster car is adorned with puppet iconography from “Avenue V,” the show’s Avenue Q parallel.

The ride comes to a halt, however, when the show’s villain, Homelander, swoops down to his infamous theme, composed by Christopher Lennertz. He blasts the screen, and we are then given a montage of different scenes from the game, including a meeting with Mother’s Milk and Billy Butcher, snooping around Vought Tower and an unusually massive Soldier Boy looming over a building.

From the Emmy Award-winning Brazilian game studio ARVORE, The Boys: Trigger Warning is a virtual reality game that thrusts players into the diabolical world of The Boys, launching alongside the show’s final season in 2026.

Ricardo Justus, studio head and founder of ARVORE, stated, “From day one, we wanted to build an adaptation hand-in-hand with the people who defined this universe. Working with the show’s writers and cast allowed us to bring the edge, humor, and brutality that made the series iconic, delivered with the spark of magic only ARVORE can create.”

Sony Pictures Virtual Reality and ARVORE are at the helm, and The Boys: Trigger Warning will be available for Meta Quest 3 and PlayStation VR2. The game’s description on the PlayStation Store and the Meta Store reads:

“Developed with the creators and featuring cast from the hit series, The Boys: Trigger Warning plunges you into the gloriously twisted world of The Boys. This time, you’re not watching the chaos—you’re in it: close-up, personal, and dangerously real.

Lucas Costa’s life detonates when the Armstrongs—a washed-up but still lethal family of Vought Superheroes—turn a family outing into carnage. The Boys drag Lucas back from the brink, juice him with powers, and throw him headfirst into their filthy underground war against Vought and its Supes. With Butcher and Mother’s Milk guiding from the shadows, Lucas sets off on a no-mercy hunt to put the Armstrongs in the ground.”

The Boys cast members Laz Alonso, Colby Minifie, P.J. Byrne and Jensen Ackles will reprise their roles as Mother’s Milk, Ashley Barrett, Adam Bourke, and Soldier Boy, respectively. Jensen Ackles will reportedly be playing “a different kind of Soldier Boy.”

The Boys: Trigger Warning is now available to add to the PlayStation Store wishlist and to pre-order on the Meta Store, priced at $23.99.

The fifth and final season of The Boys will be released on Prime Video on April 8.
