The Game Awards
The Game Awards are almost upon us. Along with the award show presenting trophies for what they believe are the best games of 2020, the Game Awards is also known for announcing world premiere trailers and new gameplay footage for upcoming titles. While this year’s show will work differently than previous installments, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the awards will still feature plenty of game announcements. Creator, producer and host Geoff Keighley revealed online that this year’s award show would feature around 12-15 new games revealed.
When discussing the 2020 Game Awards on Reddit with fans, one person asked how many new games will be announced at the Awards Ceremony. Keighley responded, “I think there are a good dozen+ games that will be announced/revealed at the show for the first time.” He later narrowed it down to around 12-15 games set to be revealed. Earlier this week, Keighley revealed that there would be five premiere trailers for upcoming games in the pre-Show.
The Game Awards will stream on December 10 on Twitch, YouTube and major gaming news outlets.
