Before E3, Sega has already announced a 42 games that are coming to their new Sega Genesis Mini. All the games come preinstalled, along with two controllers. Originally, the public was promised 40 games to come with the mini console, but since then have added two more than promised, bringing the likes of unexpected Tetris and Darius.
To compare, Nintendo’s NES Classic had 30 games, while the SNES Classic had just 21. The original Sega Genesis outdid the Genesis Mini, but quality on this system will be crisp compared to the original’s poor attempt of good graphics and limiting the amount of bugs. In this version, Sega teamed up with M2 to help with the development of holding this sheer amount of games, while keeping it at a standard of quality gamers are used to these days.
Along with Tetris and Darius, here is a list of all the games coming installed with the new console, according to IGN:
There are cosmetic add-ons to the Sega Genesis Mini as well, including the possibility of famous “Sega Tower of Power, according to Polygon. The Sega Genesis Mini is set to be released on September 19, and can currently be preordered for $79.99. Its time to get back used to that six-button controller.
