‘Arc Raiders’ Transformed With Weather & New Threats In Shrouded Sky Update

Matches will forever be re-shaped in Arc Raiders Rust Belt with the new Shrouded Sky update. With the update bringing a deadly hurricane condition and plenty more. Embark Studios is calling the new update one of the biggest season updates yet. The update has launched on all platforms on Feb. 24.

Along with the new hurricane condition, two new ARC enemies (Firefly and Comet) are entering the game, Dam Battlegrounds, Surgeon Raider Deck and long-awaited facial-hair customizations for your personal raider. This is the second major Escalation update after Snap and Headwinds. The Hurricane condition is the main headline, though, and it features a massive storm that covers the entire region, coating the surface with thick fog. Players will have to endure low visibility and numerous environmental hazards.

Firefly, one of the new ARC enemies, is an airborne drone-like prototype that spits down fire from above, forcing players to watch the skies and move precisely constantly. The other ARC enemy, Comet, is a ground-based sphere that patrols around calmly before slamming Raiders with a seismic boom. These two new enemies work with Hurricane conditions to punish any player, especially campers.

The battle for the most-played map in the game is about to get a lot more interesting. Dam has been one of the most popular maps in the game for quite some time, so it’s no surprise that the developers are going to be doing a major overhaul to this map. On top of that, players will be able to pick up the free Surgeon Raider Deck at launch, which comes with medical-themed cosmetic items such as the Volare and Devotee sets, along with themed backpacks and tools that fit into the scavenger/medical doctor fantasy.

Shrouded Sky is definitely a statement update featuring severe weather, more clever ARCs and more creative customization.
