Capcom Announces ‘Resident Evil’ Nintendo Switch Bundle Packs

Capcom is planning serious bundle deals for their new Nintendo Switch releases. Capcom announced last month during E3 that they were planning on releasing Resident Evil 5 and 6 for the Nintendo Switch. Not only did Capcom announce they would bring these games to the versatile Nintendo platform, they will be released at a normal retail price with one bundle containing two games, and the other bundle containing them alongside Resident Evil 4.

The double pack will contain the newer Resident Evil releases, Resident Evil 5 and 6. They will be released on the hybrid system on October 29, right before Halloween. The Resident Evil Triple Pack for the Nintendo Switch will contain both games, as well as the critically lauded Resident Evil 4.

Resident Evil 5 and 6 can be yours for just $29.99, while the Triple Pack will be released at the normal retail price of $59.99. Fans of the series will be able to experience up to three different Resident Evil titles for the cost of just one at a normal release. The Triple Pack will be released on the same day, October 29.

According to Gamespot, the Triple Pack will include all three games, with Resident Evil 4 coming on the physical cartridge, while Resident Evil 5 and 6 will be digital codes for you to download from the Nintendo eShop.

According to Comic Book, the Resident Evil 5 description says, “the Umbrella Corporation and its crop of lethal viruses have been destroyed and contained. But a new, more dangerous threat has emerged. Years after surviving the events in Raccoon City, Chris Redfield has been fighting the scourge of bio-organic weapons all over the world. Now a member of the Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance (BSAA), Chris is sent to Africa to investigate a biological agent that is transforming the populace into aggressive and disturbing creatures. Joined by another local BSAA agent, Sheva Alomar, the two must work together to solve the truth behind the disturbing turn of events.”

While the Resident Evil 6 description explains,”blending action and survival horror, Resident Evil 6 promises to be the dramatic horror experience of 2013. Resident Evil favorites Leon S. Kennedy, Chris Redfield and Ada Wong are joined by new characters, including Jake Muller, to face a new horror, the highly virulent C-virus, as the narrative moves between North America, the war-torn Eastern European state of Edonia and the Chinese city of Lanshiang,” according to Comic Book

Although the games won’t be released until October, you can experience them at the San Diego Comic Con that is coming this week. If you’re in San Diego, just look for the Capcom presentation.
