DuckTales: Remastered (Capcom/Disney)
Some love digital distribution, but it certainly has its flaws. One of them is how once a game is delisted from a service, people may never be given another opportunity to purchase and play it. Several obscure games have fallen into this pitfall, but a more famous work that’s about to meet that fate is DuckTales: Remastered, Capcom‘s 2013 remake of the beloved NES classic.
Capcom made the disappointing announcement on Tuesday through a blog post. While a reason for the delisting was not cited, it can be assumed Capcom’s ability to use Disney‘s DuckTales license has expired. Gamers have until August 8 to procure a digital copy of the game, and it’s enjoying a 75 percent discount until its removal. If one already purchased Remastered, they will be able to re-download it at any time without hassle, and any hard copies of the platformer will continue to work.
