Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice (Capcom)
The Nintendo Switch has been a commercial success thus far, and it seems like Capcom is taking notice. In an interview with Jiji, Capcom’s president and chief operating officer Haruhiro Tsujimoto briefly addressed his company’s upcoming plans for the system.
Capcom’s working on games for the Nintendo Switch. These titles are slated to release during the 2018 fiscal year. Ace Attorney, however, was the only franchise to be name-dropped specifically. Moreover, it should be noted that it wasn’t explicitly confirmed that these will be new games, as re-releasing older titles on newer hardware is a commonplace practice. Capcom’s no stranger to it, with a re-release of the fourth Ace Attorney title coming soon to the Nintendo 3DS family.
Regardless, it’s nice to hear that more Ace Attorney antics are forthcoming. Ace Attorney, a series that’s already associated with Nintendo platforms, is a personal favorite of mine. I overall enjoyed its most recent installment on the Nintendo 3DS, and the series will certainly continue eventually.
