Cottage Living Expansion Pack Released For ‘The Sims 4’

The Sims 4 recently debuted the Cottage Living expansion pack on July 22. The expansion allows players to experience country living in Henford on Bagley, which is based upon the English countryside. The Sims 4: Cottage Living is available for $39.99 on Steam, Origin, Xbox One and Playstation 4.

Henford on Bagley will contain three neighborhoods: the Bramblewood, Finchwick and Old New Henford. The landscape will contain ruins, pubs and other buildings found in the English countryside.

One of the main features of the expansion is the ability to raise or befriend animals. The animals added in Cottage Living include bunnies, chickens, cows, foxes, llamas and wild birds. Players can collect milk from cows and eggs from chickens. They can also become friends with wild rabbits, foxes and birds. These new companions can bestow gifts or provide assistance in the garden.

Farming is another key aspect of this expansion. Recipe and lot challenges are new additions that put emphasis on growing fresh ingredients. Children will now be able to assist in cook and gardening as well. There will even be a competition for oversized crops at the Finchwick Fair.

A new cross-stitch skill is also featured. This will allow sims to make cross-stitched art that they can sell, use as a decoration or give away as a gift.

Picnics and grocery delivery features will also appear in the expansion.

Cottage Living additionally includes a new aspiration known as country caretaker. This new aspiration involves farming crops, purchasing farm animals, and befriending wild animals. The nature conversationalist reward trait will bestow benefits such as better relationships with animals, more crop yield and free grocery delivery.

A multitude of clothes, hairstyles and customization options will ship as a part of Cottage Living. New objects such as sheds, coops, stalls, baskets and canned goods will also be part of the update.

The Sims 4: Cottage Living is the 11th full expansion for the title. The game was originally released in September of 2014.
