As usual, PlayStation released the top downloaded games. This June, while Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart expectedly towers over the competition in the PS5 genre, the champion of the PS4 chart catches many people off guard. It is none other than Cyberpunk 2077.
Who would have thought that after all the floating objects and damaged graphics, Cyberpunk 2077 could still land such an honor? What’s even more impressive is that the game returned to PlayStation on June 21, meaning that it has to accomplish this record in about 10 days. And we shouldn’t forget that PlayStation actually explicitly warned the players not to buy it. “Purchase for use on PS4 systems is not recommended,” PlayStation’s Twitter account wrote.
Obviously, these predicaments didn’t stop Cyberpunk 2077 from shining. I guess players either have faith in the developers to remedy the issue or simply don’t follow PlayStation’s account.
Another star of PS4 games is Grand Theft Auto V, which ranks second in the US / Canada and third in Europe. Rumor has it that its sequel will come in 2024 and that it will feature a female protagonist in an evolving map that expands along with DLC.
As for PS5 games, besides Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart topping the chart, Chivalry 2, FIFA 21 and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales also performed really well.
