It has been seven years since the initial release of Diablo 3, so now the time to loot hunt in Diablo 4 is past due. After many months filled with rumors, the title has been officially confirmed by Blizzard at Blizzcon 2019. Now we can finally say that Diablo is an isometric action RPG which will see the return of Lilith, the daughter of Mephisto.
The game will consist of an open world map with five regions day/night cycles and a non-linear campaign. You can destroy and loot your way around this world with five classes of weapons which of course can be customized. Three of them have already been announced.
Diablo 4 is being designed in a brand-new engine for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC and will be released concurrently on all platforms. Diablo returns with a Gothic game world and the infamous addictive gameplay loop.
The game’s release is years away so it is possible for everything to change from what we can see so far. Nevertheless, it is exhilarating to see Diablo 4 finally being exposed to fans.

Lead systems designer David Kim, has given us an inside look at Diablo 4’s systems. “Legendary powers should no longer completely dwarf the strength of your affixes, and the affixes themselves provide more interesting choices because their strength depends on how much of the relevant Powers you’ve accumulated on the rest of your gear. You might find an amulet with the perfect stats for your build, but some of its Affixes may require Demonic Power when you’ve previously focused on Ancestral. Maybe your current amulet is the primary source of your Ancestral Power, so equipping a new amulet would mean potentially making sacrifices elsewhere. With this system, it will be easy to identify items with good stats, but it will take some thought and planning to decide whether the item is good for your build.”
Diablo 4 is expected to be released in about a year or two, mostly because of the development taking place for PS4 and Xbox One who will most likely be overlooked when the new consoles are released in late 2020.
