Get ready to slay the demons of hell and travel to Mars and other sectors of the galaxy to rip and tear on Game Pass. Doom Eternal, the sequel to 2016’s Doom reboot, was released earlier this year to raving reviews and will now be arriving on Xbox’s Subscription Service on October 1. The announcement comes only days after Microsoft revealed that it purchased Bethesda for $7.5 billion.
Before the announcement, Bethesda has multiple titles on the Game Pass, including Dishonored 2, Wolfenstein: Youngblood and Rage 2. After the purchase of Zenimax and all of its assets, Head of Xbox Game Studios, Phill Spencer announced that it will bring “Bethesda’s iconic franchises to Xbox Game Pass for console and PC.”
The Doom franchise is no stranger to the Xbox brand of machines, as its the third installment of the series, Doom 3, was available on the original Xbox back in 2003. Adding Doom Eternal on Game Pass points to Bethesda’s upcoming titles, like Elder Scrolls 6 and Starfield, will arrive on Game Pass and possibly even exclusively to Xbox and PC.
While Doom Eternal will arrive on the service, it’s currently unknown if its upcoming DLC expansion, The Ancient Gods – Part One, will also arrive on the service.
