Fortnite Season X (Image Credit: Epic Games)
Epic Games’ unwavering dedication to their arena shooter remains as strong as ever, with Fortnite scoring another new update. As per usual, this patch adjusts several of the games’ finer points, some of which encompass fairly noticeable changes while others will only be noticed by the most dedicated players.
Fortnite v10.30’s biggest change is the two new Rift Zones, areas that remix old environments to create something new. The first of them is Moisty Palms, which marries elements of Paradise Palms and Moisty Mires. When players crouch here, they transform into a prop. Greasy Grove is the second of these transmigrated territories, which has thawed out from the frozen lake that once trapped it. A Durrr Taco facility has replaced the Durrr Burger joint, owing to the significance the newer food has: tacos can now rain down from the heavens (potentially dealing damage), and players can use scavenged tacos to heal themselves and gain a speed boost. And in terms of the famous Fortnite arsenal, the Tactical SMG has returned while the fairly new Burst SMG has been vaulted.
Here are the entire patch notes, courtesy of Epic Games’ blog:
Moisty Palms
In this swampy new Rift Zone, you can crouch to disguise yourself as a prop!
Greasy Grove
A Rift Zone has brought back Greasy Grove, but the neighborhood’s favorite food is now tacos. The tacos here are so good that even their smell makes people party!
