Four Veterans Join The ‘Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite’ Roster [VIDEO]

San Diego Comic Con has commenced, and therein Marvel unveiled a new trailer for their upcoming fighting game, Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, highlighting its gameplay with four series veterans.

FOUR VETERANS RETURN FOR MARVEL VS. CAPCOM: INFINITE

The most eye-catching aspect would be the character reveals. Representing Marvel is their iconic web-slinger Spider-Man, while Capcom’s returnees are Resident Evil’s Nemesis, Final Fight‘s Haggar and Dead Rising’s Frank West. (Thankfully, to my relief, Frank isn’t modeled after his incarnation from the rather poor Dead Rising 4.)

All four fighters were previously seen in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, though three of them were blessed with a few new techniques. Additionally, Marvel’s Thanos and Gamora shared the spotlight, showcasing a more in-depth look at their movesets. Finally, we also caught our first look at the capabilities of the Mind Stone as well as a new AIMBRELLA stage.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite is slated for a September 19 release. Infinite will purchasable for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. Pre-ordering a copy secures two downloadable costumes, Evil Ryu and Warrior Thor.

Two special editions will be available: the Deluxe Edition and the Collector’s Edition. The former will also include the 2017 Character Pass and costumes for Hulk and Mega Man X, whereas those who splurge for the latter will also obtain “LED-fueled Infinity Stone replicas” and “four detailed statues” of Mega Man X, Chun-Li, Iron Man and Captain Marvel.
