TikTok
Last week, GameStop announced that they were created a special TikTok contest for employees. For whatever reason, GameStop decided that it would be a good idea to let its workers perform some form of synchronized dance and upload it to the popular video-sharing website. In return, the winning employees would be awarded an Amazon Echo 8, an Amazon Echo Auto, a $100 VISA gift card and 10 extra work hours on Black Friday.
After much backlash on the “extra work hours” “reward,” GameStop has quietly canceled the contest. GameStop’s website no longer features any mention of the TikTok challenge. The site does still have contests for its employees to take part in, such as selling the most copies of Watch Dogs: Legion for interns to get free copies of the game, but the much-maligned TikTok challenge has been removed.
