‘Grand Theft Auto’ Update Provides Bonuses To Those With Twitch Prime, But Prompts Fake Streams

Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto online mode has been teaming up with Twitch Prime to connect gamers to the streaming app. Coming July 23, fans of the Grand Theft Auto Online series will witness a new Diamond Casino on the map. The new casino update has players excited for the chance to buy more expensive items such as cars, clothing items and weapons. Sadly, there are scammers on Twitch that are trying to use the players’ excitement as a tool to profit off their fake streams in order to win some in-game money, even by donating real money to these fake streams.

The in-game events have been focused on the new casino that is coming in, despite the fake streamers going under-the-radar. Make sure you watch out for the scheming fake streams.

The new Diamond Casino update reads as, “with a Master Penthouse you’ll also become a member of The Diamond family, and the family business needs your attention,” a message from Rockstar Games reveals. Help property owner Tao Cheng and The Diamond staff protect their investment from the clutches of a corrupt family of Texan petrochemical magnates in a series of all new co-operative missions,” a statement from Rockstar reads, according to Express.

In order to get involved in the casino, you’ll have to own a master penthouse suite in Los Santos. Along with the new Diamond Casino build that is coming, there is great news regarding those who have Twitch Prime linked to their Grand Theft Auto Online account.

According to Rockstar, “as part of the Rockstar Games Social Club x Twitch Prime Benefits program, all GTA Online players who link their Social Club account with Twitch Prime and claim their Twitch Prime benefits by the end of day on July 19th will be able to purchase the Master Penthouse for free in the Diamond Casino & Resort, as well as receive GTA $1.25M and up to 15% extra GTA$ on purchases of Shark Cash Cards,” per Express.

This is a great environment for scammers, so watch out with your Twitch Prime accounts and be careful. Only support the Twitch you know are legitimate and give back to their community.

  • This is the first time Twitch has offered Prime bonuses on either of these online games, but Rockstar plans to release more exclusive content for both Red Dead Online and Grand Theft Auto Online in the future.
