Iron Man in Square Enix's Marvel's The Avengers
The gaming studio Crystal Dynamics has announced that their Marvel’s Avengers game will be delayed until September 4.
“When we set out to bring you our vision for Marvel’s Avengers, we committed to delivering an original story driven campaign, engaging co-op, and compelling content for years to come. To that end, we will spend this additional development time focusing on fine tuning and polishing the game to the high standards our fans expect and deserve,” stated by the two leaders of Crystal Dynamics in an announcement.
The game was originally set to release in May 2020. The game takes place in San Francisco, California. In the opening scenes, we are reintroduced to the Avengers. The group contains superheroes such as Iron Man and the Hulk. In the initial release trailer, the super-squadron are forced onto the Golden Gate Bridge in order to fight the game’s first enemies. Crystal Dynamics has been the creator of all of the Tomb Raider games since 2008. In the United Kingdom, the franchise was influential enough to be included on retro postage stamps. When the company states that the game will rival Tomb Raider games. In terms of playing time for a user, that is quite a compliment. Even back in the late 2000s, each game had over 30 hours of game-play under the supervision of Crystal Dynamics
The game will be both single player, and online multiplayer gameplay that features an online co-op mode, which is full of unique missions and side quests exclusively given to online players. The game has ambitions that will be able to deliver players a rich narrative based game-play, while granting the players with the freedom of an open-world game.
In addition to that, the producers of the game want to roll out continuous updates over the next several years.
The game will be available to purchase for users of the Xbox One, PS4, PC and Google Stadia.
