Microsoft E3 Panel Reveals Keanu Reeves In New Cyberpunk 2077 Game

Perhaps one of the more exciting and most anticipating releases coming from E3 is CD Project Red’s new work, Cyberpunk 2077.  To make it more invigorating, the game is incorporating Keanu Reeves as a character in the game. Thats right, John Wick/Neo himself.

Reeves himself was at E3 yesterday. He walked out on stage during the Microsoft event to show that he will be in the game.

“I’ve got to talk to you about something,” Reeves said, according to ARS Technica. “CD Project Red, a while back, they approached me and asked me to be part of their project. I’m always drawn to fascinating stories.”

After Reeves hyped up the crowd,  the new cinematic trailer showed a glimpse of him at the end of the trailer. He confirmed the release date at Xbox’s E3 press conference. The game will be coming out on console and PC on April 16, 2020. The trailer also showed the main character of the game, V. The game takes place in an open world RPG setting in a metropolitan city dominated by futuristic tech. The game follows V, a hired assassin gun against other cyber-enhanced street gangs and tech-savvy hackers. The cinematic trailer shows a previously revealed villain named Dex, with other flashbacks of him losing his friend and ally, Jackie during a shootout.

The highly anticipated narrative-driven game is set to release next year in 2020. With Project Red working years on this game, viewers can tell just how much effort is being put into this release. They teased the game in last year’s E3, and still have yet to release it. It is unsure if there will be multiplayer in this game, but with such a thought-out narrative, its tough to comprehend how many hours can be put into this game. More details about the release are soon to come, with a Collector’s edition and deluxe edition surely to be announced ahead of one of the biggest releases in video game history.
