Nintendo eShop Releases: August 29, 2019

Nintendo‘s updated the Switch eShop with new games, so let’s see what was added this week. One of Nintendo’s anticipated Switch exclusives is finally arriving tomorrow, and it’s joined by a nice assortment of titles.

Our biggest release this week is easily Astral Chain, the latest title from PlatinumGames. As expected from the studio behind the Bayonetta series, Chain‘s nameless protagonist and their sibling Akira are tasked with saving their dystopian land by – what else – fighting. You’ll control a “special weapon called a Legion simultaneously to chain stylish combos,” and you can swap Legions on the fly. Astral Chain hits stores tomorrow.

Spyro Reignited Trilogy and Torchlight II round out this week nicely, allowing Switch owners to revisit two popular domains. Moreover, players can now pre-register Mario Kart Tour, which launches next month.
