It’s been a while since we heard anything about the upcoming remake of Prince of Persia: Sands of Time. When the game was first unveiled at Ubisoft Forward 2020 in September, fans weren’t too keen on the game’s visuals, particularly the game’s incredibly dated character models. Well, fans may have some hope for a better game as Prince of Persia: Sands of Time Remake has been delayed by two months and will now launch on March 18, 2021.
The delay was first posted on Ubisoft’s Czech Facebook account but was shortly deleted. However, fans over on ResetEra translated it before the official Prince of Persia Twitter account released an official statement. “2020 was a year like no other. Today we would like to inform you that we need more time to complete the game,” read the message. “We believe this is the right decision to ensure we deliver a game you like.” COVID-19 has made it difficult for many developers to continue their work, so hopefully, this delay will give the devs the time they need to complete the remake on time.
