Playstation Now, the game subscription service that uses cloud technology as its base to give gamers more games than ever before is lowering its sub price. Playstation Now offers the most games of any subscription service to date. Sony wants to attract more players to its advanced cloud system and feel that offering it at a cheaper price will attract more people to give it a shot. If you already have a subscription, you next billing cycle will lower to the new pricing. The subscription service will be more akin to the prices of PS Plus or Games With Gold as the prices have been lowered from
Monthly $19.99 -> $9.99
Quarterly $44.99 -> $24.99
Yearly $99.99 -> $59.99
The first wave of content under this new pricing system are all available for three months from October 1, 2019 to January 2 2020.
Sony is proud of their work towards making cloud gaming accessible to players and excited to continue moving forward with the service. Playsation Now gives players the opportunity to stream some of their favorite games, past and present, as you can play PS2 and PS3 titles along with the PS4 titles already available. Some of these games even offer DLC, other user- purchased add-ons and PS4 Pro enhancements when downloaded. You can also activate a seven day free trial here to try PS Now yourself.
Additionally, the games for October’s PS Plus are now available to download. Last month’s games are still available as well for a short amount of time, those games being Batman: Arkham Knight and Darksiders 3. This month’s Plus games are The Last of Us Remastered and MLB The Show 19. You can download these games for free if you have any PS Plus membership subscription. PS Plus and PS Now are both the same price monthly, quarterly, and yearly.
