Attention, PC Gamers: Steam has officially launched its 2019 annual summer sale event. It’ll last just two weeks, ending on July 7. Any games that you missed out on at their release, whether you didn’t have the time, the money or the desire to play it, now is the time to play some major-named titles.
There is a number of titles on sale on Steam, including Ubisoft’s latest installment of the Assassin’s Creed series, Odyssey. Other major titles include Bethesda’s Skyrim Elder Scrolls and Fallout 4, the Game of the Year Edition, and Capcom’s Resident Evil 2. Most of these AAA titles are sitting at 50% off or above.
Other AAA titles include iD Software’s Doom, CD Projekt Red’s Witcher III: Wild Hunt, which Steam reviewed a 10/10. Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto V sits at $14.99, Crystal Dynamic’s Rise of the Tomb Raider is just $8.99, 85% off its original price.
Despite AAA titles, there are plenty of cheap indie options as well, including the high-rated Stardew Valley, Hollow Knight and Cuphead.
Not into single-player games? Steam has a range of must-have multiplayer games as well, such as Rocket League at just $9.99 and PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds sitting at $14.99.
Unsure about a game you’re thinking about buying just because it’s on sale? If you’re unsure, check out a review online by us or at other sites before spending your money.
With this sale, Steam has introduced the Steam Grand Prix 2019, which is a race where you pick a team, whether it’s the tortoise, hare, cockatiel, pig or corgi. When you select a team, the more you spend during the summer sale, your Boost Meter will expand and the more you contribute to your team. Contributing to your team means you obtain more tokens, which are used to redeem exclusive profile backgrounds and chat emoticons. Here is a tweet from Steam that further explains it:
Any game we have mentioned thus far might make an appearance on the Steam Summer Sale, as they roll out new offers everyday during the two week period. If you download the Steam app on iOS and Android, you’ll get updates everyday on new roll outs.
