PPA Pickleball Tour 25, the brand new pickleball game from FarSight Studios, has been released. It introduces the sport of pickleball into the world of video games. The title was released for Xbox and PlayStation on July 17, with the Nintendo Switch version set to release on July 26.
Sports video games are one of the most popular genres, with yearly releases like Madden consistently seeing the tops of sales charts. Nearly every sport under the sun has a video game version to go with it, and now pickleball is getting the same treatment. Pickleball is America’s fastest-growing sport, with over 50 million people playing the game, so a video game based on the sport was only a matter of time.
In PPA Pickleball Tour 25, players will compete both in a career mode and in quick play matches to hone their skills in pickleball. The game features an extensive career mode in which players will create their own custom pickleball player and rise through the ranks of the pickleball world. Players will compete in PPA Tour events in singles, doubles, and mixed doubles across a variety of different venues with the ultimate goal of achieving a Triple Crown.
PPA Pickleball Tour 25 features 16 pro pickleball players to play in addition to the character creator feature. The clothing and equipment featured in the game are also from real-life pickleball brands such as JOOLA and FILA, so players can customize their characters to their personal liking.
PPA Pickleball Tour 25, the first officially licensed pickleball game, is now available on Xbox and PlayStation. The Nintendo Switch version will be released on July 26.
