Ubisoft E3 Conferences Reveals Future Plans: New Watch Dogs, Ghost Recon, Rainbow Six And More

Ubisoft had a plethora of announcements to make during their E3 conference on Monday. We learned about their future projects, such as a massive update to Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, the new Watch Dogs sequel: Watch Dogs Legion, their new plans for the next Ghost Recon installment: Ghost Recon Breakpoint. There’s also a new Rainbow Six Siege game containing a PvE mode called: Rainbow Six Quarantine, and an unveiling of their new streaming platform plans.

The Assassin’s Creed creators presented a new story mode creator feature for last year’s Assassin’s Creed Odyssey which lets the user design your own quests in the Greek-based time period. The game will also feature a new “Discovery” mode which seems to be based off the highly-rated version of the Assassin’s Creed Origins Discovery mode, where it will contain a violence-free mode where you can explore the vast open world that Ubisoft has to offer, an educational-type mode teaching you the history and lore surrounding you and your character.

Next, they announced the new Watch Dogs sequel, Watch Dogs Legion. The third title in the series shifts to a post-Brexit England, where this time you can take up a series of characters instead of one. The fun twist in this installment is the recruitment of new agents and being able to play as them as they join your roster of hacking vigilantes. Legion will be released on March 6th, 2020

Ghost Recon Breakpoint contained quite the surpirse, as Walking Dead and Punisher star Jon Bernthal will play one of the main characters in your squad. Bernthal himself was at the trailer premiere, showing off what Ubisoft has been working on, along with a sweet puppy by his side to captivate the audience. Ghost Recon Breakpoint will be released on October 4th, 2019.

The next installment of Rainbow Six Siege is quite the switch-up, instead of the usual PvP realistic gameplay, Ubisoft created a PvE co-op game described as “a squad-based survival FPS,” according to The Verge. It seems to be a three-player horror-type game. Something the Rainbow Six series has yet to do. The game is set to be released sometime in early 2020.

To finish their conference, Ubisoft revealed their latest plans for a monthly-subscription service called Uplay Plus. For $15 a month, players will have access to over 100 Ubisoft titles ready to download. It will be available on September 3rd, with access of it on the new Google Stadia sometime in 2020.
