Xbox Games With Gold: July 2019 Update

Gamers are only now winding down from last month’s big E3 extravaganza, but Microsoft’s Games with Gold program is ramping up with four new games for July. These are the titles Xbox Live Gold members can score this month.

Starting with the Xbox One, Inside is the spiritual successor to indie hit Limbo, and it carries the same sensations of loneliness, dread and danger that powered its predecessor. Once again you play as a nameless little boy, who has to puzzle-platform across hazards and enemies as you try to survive a world where everyone and everything wants you dead or apprehended. Inside will be free throughout the entirety of July.

Big Crown: Showdown is the second Xbox One offering this month, and players can download it between July 16 and August 15. Showdown is a multiplayer-centric game, where you and three friends can partake in “medieval shenanigans” across its three zones.

Shifting toward the Xbox 360, one of gaming’s most cherished titles – Konami’s Castlevania: Symphony of the Night – will be available from now until July 15. You’re playing as Alucard, Dracula’s son, and you’ll roam his 2D castle to restore order and discover the whereabouts of Richter Belmont, your friend and the previous hero. Meet the Robinsons, an adaption of the animated Disney film, will replace Symphony of the Night on July 16 and will remain available until the month ends.

Reminder: all Xbox 360 titles will be playable on the Xbox One via backwards compatibility. Furthermore, you’ll need an Xbox Live Gold subscription to redeem any of these games, and any Xbox One games downloaded through this program will require an active Gold membership to play.

Which of these titles are you the most excited for?
