‘Borderlands 4’ Release Date & Trailer Revealed At State Of Play

The first trailer for Borderlands 4 is revealed along with an official release date which should be before GTA 6.

At the recent PlayStation State of Play held on Feb. 12, the very first trailer and release date for Borderlands 4 was announced by Randy Pitchford, the head of Gearbox Entertainment. The trailer is nothing short of tantalizing with samples of the game’s combat, which shows off some pretty awesome weapons that the game has to offer including dual-wielding. The end of the trailer shows that the game will be released on Sept. 23 of this year.

A lot of information about the game is still missing though. The trailer does not give any information on the story of Borderlands 4 as well as any new mechanics or features that will be introduced in the game. This is most likely because there is going to be another State of Play later this year specifically for Borderlands 4. Until that undetermined time, fans can make their own predictions of what they think the next installment in the fast-paced first-person shooter series will be like.

With Borderlands 4 alone being released in the fall of 2025, it’s clear that the season will be one for the books for gamers, but to make matters more exciting, Grand Theft Auto 6 is also supposed to be released during the fall. Although there is no official date for the release and there has not even been an official trailer update on the game since 2023, Rockstar’s parent company, Take-Two, has been assuring fans that the game is not getting delayed any further and it should be in the eager hands of gamers everywhere by the end of this year.

In any case, if the next installment of Borderlands and Grand Theft Auto are going to be coming out just a couple of months apart from each other, gamers are going to be absolutely spoiled for choice by the end of this year.
