‘Destiny 2: Trials Of Osiris’ Shut Down Indefinitely For Win-Trading Scandal

Bungie originally announced at the end of  February that their high-end Destiny 2 PVP mode Trials of Osiris would be shut down until the following week.

A new blog post from Bungie has now extended the shutdown indefinitely. In its “This Week At Bungie” blog post, the company announced, “Last weekend, Trials of Osiris was disabled due to unexpected issues. While these issues are being investigated, Trials of Osiris will be unavailable to players. We will have more information when it becomes available. ”

Destiny 2 players have lamented for years now that the game’s PVP mode is full of cheaters. Since Destiny 2 is mostly a co-op game where you team up with your friends to fight AI enemies, some players may not even have noticed that Trials of Osiris went missing this past week.

While Bungie hasn’t said outright why they disabled the mode, many players have taken to online forums to explain a popular win trading system where players agree to throw games according to a community dice roll. It’s unclear when Bungie will reopen the brutally difficult PVP mode, but in the mean time, Destiny players can take on six-man raids in groups of 12 thanks to a new glitch.
