‘Phantom Breaker: Omnia’ To Be Revived, Set For 2021 Release

Phantom Breaker was a fighting game that was first going to be released sometime in 2012. Sadly, for some unknown reason, the game’s U.S. release was canceled. Eight years later and Phantom Breaker is finally coming to the U.S., thanks to Rocket Panda Studios. Phantom Breaker: Omnia is an updated version of the original game, which sees Phantom Breaker rebalanced and retuned for modern audiences. The game will feature remixed music, 20 characters and features both English and Japanese voice tracks.

“We are thrilled to bring to the world the definitive version of the Phantom Breaker fighting game, Phantom Breaker: Omnia – a game that was nearly lost to the annals of gaming history,” said Rocket Panda Games co-founder M. Panda in a press release. “As fans of the franchise and video games at large, our mission was not only to port the game to modern consoles but enhance the experience beyond its original scope — a philosophy we plan to extend to every title that Rocket Panda Games releases in the future.”

Phantom Breaker: Omnia is currently on track for a digital release for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC in 2021. Rocket Panda Games will also be working with Limited Run Games to release physical copies for the PS4 and Nintendo Switch. When asked about a next-gen version by GameInformer, the company replied, “never say never.”
