Sega Announces New Mini Astro City Arcade Console
Fans of Sega’s iconic Astro City arcade cabinet got some exciting news Tuesday morning as the company announced that a miniature version of the console will be released in December of this year in Japan with a total of 36 games for players to play.
The console will cost around $119, but there has yet to be any word regarding a release here in the United States. The dimensions of the mini Astro City measures in at about 150mm across, 67mm long, and 30mm high, but that is simply a rumor.

It appears that Sega’s new plan is to release miniature versions of their previous consoles in addition to the Asto City Mini, the company has released a mini version of the Genesis, and announced the release of the Game Gear Micro for October of this year.
The Astro City Mini will feature all the same buttons as the original console from 1993, just smaller and players will be able to purchase a separate gamepad for $26 to make gameplay slightly easier.
