Studio MDHR’s breakout hit Cuphead has proven itself as a venerable title, one that’s successfully branched out into animation and merchandise. Yesterday, the eponymous Cuphead was confirmed to be breaching another medium: literature.
Cuphead in Carnival Chaos will be based upon its namesake game, and it’s said to offer a fun experience for “young readers” and readers who’re “young at heart.” Set to be published by Little Brown and Company, Carnival Chaos will span 272 pages and over 20 drawings. The book will launch on March 3, 2020, and it’ll cost $14.99.
Here’s the official description per the press release:
It’s a special day on the Inkwell Isles: Elder Kettle’s birthday! Yes, sirree, it’s a very special day. So Cuphead and Mugman need to find the perfect gift to honor their beloved mentor. But along the way, the brothers and their new friend Ms. Chalice are captivated by the sights and sounds of the carnival that just rolled into town. Despite Elder Kettle’s warning that the attraction is filled with liars and thieves, the trio gets reeled in.
