PlayStation and Xbox fans can download new free games to their library starting in days.
For August, both gaming companies have revealed their lineups.
But keep in mind, to be eligible, you must have an Xbox Live Gold and/or a PlayStation Plus membership.
These both each cost $9.99 per month or $59.99 per year.
Here are the free PlayStation games for August:
All three will be available to download on Tuesday, August 2.
And here is the full Xbox list of free games with the dates they can be downloaded from:
Both Monaco and Saints Row can be played on the Xbox 360.
Meanwhile, all of these games can be played for free on an Xbox One.
Some console gamers had some reactions to the lineups revealed by both companies.
In particular, some Xbox gamers were a bit jealous of the list when compared to PlayStation’s.
“I love @xbox and Gamepass Ultimate but I wish they would get good games like this for their monthly Games with Gold. I mean if PlayStation can do it surely they can.”
“As an Xbox fan it pains me to say this but PS Plus is the best value deal in gaming,” another said.
One PlayStation fan said, “Fantastic month. All three are bangers.”
But not all PlayStation fans were satisfied, with one asking: “Where is the classic game? No psp title? No ps2 titles?”
And some fans ran into some tough luck.
“Oh good, another PS5 game I can’t claim because I already claimed the free upgrade for the disc version. Fix this,” a frustrated fan said.
Up until August 2, PlayStation Plus members will be able to download July’s lineup of Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, The Dark Pictures: Man of Medan and Arcadegeddon for free.
Xbox Live members can download Beasts of Maravilla Island and Torchlight for free until Sunday, July 31.
