‘Assassin’s Creed: Mirage’s Latest Patch: No More Elevator Fiascos For Basim & Anti-Piracy Software

In a move that might sound both amusing and crucial, Assassin’s Creed Mirage’s latest update has ensured that Basim is no longer at the mercy of rogue elevators.

Just a day ahead of Assassin’s Creed Mirage‘s grand launch, Ubisoft unveiled the patch notes for the newest update. While Update 1.0.2 boasts several nuanced tweaks geared towards ensuring gamers experience a hitch-free experience, one particular fix has managed to turn heads — Basim’s curious vulnerability to elevators.

Given the pivotal role elevators play in the sprawling terrains of most Assassin’s Creed titles, having them function without posing a mortal threat is, understandably, a top priority.

While Ubisoft’s patch notes offer a succinct “Elevators would kill Basim” without much elaboration, one can infer that this was a recurrent hiccup, warranting attention before the global gaming community steps into the vibrant alleys of 9th-century Baghdad.

The patch is laden with other critical fixes, addressing issues such as Shards not being credited accurately, the non-award of endgame rewards post-completion, foes miraculously evading fall damage and certain glitches occurring after fast travels.

A deep dive into the notes reveals refinements across UI, graphical elements, quests, animations and overall performance.

However, amid these enhancements, an unexpected addition has stirred some conversation: the introduction of an unpopular anti-piracy software to Assassin’s Creed Mirage just before its debut.
