Leaked Comedy Bug Montage Ironically Manifesting In The Released Game

In early February, CD Projekt Red publically revealed that unidentified hackers stole its internal data and threatened to leak the confidential information if the $7 million ransom was not paid. But in an official update on Twitter, CD Project Red chose to stand firmly against the blatant infringement, refusing any sort of negotiation or concession. Now, the brave move has led to consequences, with multiple behind-the-scene bug montages circulating on the internet.

Warning: the second video contains NSFW content.

The videos are pure chaos. Accompanied by ludicrous soundtracks, floating characters with spoofy facial expressions and spinning items dominate the scenes. Cars turn into transformers and gigantic chickens emerge out of nowhere. As we think things can’t get stranger, one video shows the player riding a hotdog motorcycle charting through the scene.

The montages also agitate the fans with several scenes including the third-person take on the game. This mode was first demonstrated in the early trailer but then excluded in the official release. The leaked videos prove that players would have access to the third-person mode.

This bug montage was accidentally confirmed by one of the game’s producers to be “a fun composition of bug materials collected by QA and developers through years of development,” as the entertaining blooper of The Witcher 3Ironically, the bug-filled comedy has manifested in the official release of Cyberpunk 2077, stirring a huge frustration among fans, players, shareholders, etc. Even until now, Cyberpunk 2077 remains delisted on the PlayStation consoles.

As we reported last week, Gabriel Amatangelo will join the Cyberpunk 2077 team as the new game director, potentially bringing new perspectives and a better gameplay environment for fans. Although whether the game returns to PlayStation lies in the hands of Sony, the team, who’s been eagerly fixing the game, is optimistic about the improvement.

Many leaked videos are being taken down now on multiple platforms, which indirectly substantiates the internal, confidential data these videos hold. No official response from CD Projekt Red so far.
