‘PES 19’ Gets Replaced From July PS Plus Store By ‘Detroit: Become Human’

Pro Evolution Soccer 19, or PES, is being removed from the July PS Plus games and will be replaced by the popular Detroit: Become Human. It is unknown why Sony decided to make the swap.

“We are making a swap to the PS Plus games lineup for July,” an announcement from PlayStation read, according to Gamespot. “This month, we are adding Detroit: Become Human Digital Deluxe Edition, which also includes Heavy Rain, to the July games lineup instead of Pro Evolution Soccer 2019. We apologize for any inconvenience.”

Konami, the developers of PES, recently signed a new contract on Sunday signifying that the team has terminated their contract with EPL team Liverpool, and signed with Manchester United. It is unknown if or why that could be the reason Sony removed PES 2019 from the current free July games.

In a recent review of the game, Richard Wakeling highlighted the great steps PES has made to improve their game drastically over the last few years.

“For as long as EA continues to develop FIFA and hold a monopoly over official licenses, PES will be the scrappy underdog just hoping for a surprise upset, even when it’s fielding the likes of London Blue and PV White Red,” said Wakeling, according to Gamespot. “The lack of licenses for top-tier leagues remains a disheartening sticking point, but PES continues to make brilliant strides on the pitch, building on what was already an incredibly satisfying game of football to produce one of the greatest playing football games of all time.”

Nevertheless, its replacement, Detroit: Become Human, is a single-player adventure narrative game that will grab your emotions and swing them around. This game is known for being deeply influenced by your personal decisions as the main character and how the game will react to them. Become Human is a game set in the future where android robots that help humans have become a key part of society. Reviews read that the androids are treated as sub-human servants that can have you play as three different possible androids. Detroit was developed by Quantic Dreams and will captivate players with its emotional story.
