WWE 2K26 is coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 on March 13. New motion-based controls on the Switch 2 let players perform their own taunts and pins with the Joy-Con.
There are four different game editions: the Standard Edition, the King of Kings Deluxe Edition, the Attitude Era Edition, and the Monday Night War Edition. Other special editions of the game offer early access as early as March 6. Popular WWE superstar CM Punk is on the cover of the standard edition. The premium versions include extra content for fans who want extra content and bonus in-game items
WWE 2K26 will allow players to use motion-based pin attempts and various taunts, and to play with a friend by simply passing them a Joy-Con. The ability to use the console’s touchscreen and mouse support makes creating custom wrestlers in the Creation Suite easier for the player. GameChat and GameShare are supported, as are Image Uploader and cross-platform Community Creations. This gives the Switch 2-player the ability to share and download with players on different consoles. This is a huge upgrade compared to WWE 2K25’s limited options.
There are four new match types in WWE 2K26: the famous I Quit match, where one of the wrestlers has to give in on the microphone; the Inferno match, where the ring is surrounded by fire; and the Three Stages of Hell match, a best-of-three match featuring different match types. Visual Concepts president Greg Thomas said that “WWE 2K26 introduces several new community-requested match types and gameplay features.”
Stackable tables, shopping carts, and thumbtacks are all available now as weapons for the player to use. Arenas are also expanded to give the player more ways to punish their opponent. Intergender matches are now available in core modes.
WWE 2K26 is a significant step in the right direction for Nintendo. Switch 2 players are sure to enjoy their experience anywhere they like without any issues.
