Studio developer CD Projekt Red revealed they are already working on two sequels placed in the Cyberpunk 2077 world. There will be another single-player game in the universe, as well as a completely separate multiplayer game, according to Bankier, a Polish site where CD Projekt Red’s headquarters are located.

Cyberpunk 2077 already seems to be one of the most-anticipated games of the recent decade. Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption 2 and Grand Theft Auto V come into that conversation, but in terms of a different developer and a breath of fresh air, CD Projekt Red are outdoing themselves before the release is even remotely upon us.

E3 displayed a ton of new information regarding the game, and the lead quest designer Pawel Sasko revealed some plans about the future of Cyberpunk 2077.

“We’re not really working on multiplayer, our sole focus is single-player,” Sasko said, according to Eurogamer. “We’ll do that, then we’ll see. We’re not saying no but we’re not saying yes. If something does happen it will definitely be post-launch and that’s as much as I can say right now.”

This means there will most-likely be no multiplayer during the April 2020 launch date for the game. The developers aren’t ruling out a multiplayer component, but it’s probably safe to say you can expect some kind of multiplayer in this universe eventually. Sasko also confirmed three different origin stories can diversify a player’s experience with the game.”The player in Cyberpunk 2077 can create a custom character that has one of three origin stories, that we call life-paths,” said Sasko in an email to VG24/7, according to PC Gamer. “You can be Nomad, Corpo or Street Kid. Each of that Life-paths has a different starting location and story background that are strongly connected with the origin story.”

According to Gamespot, the Cyberpunk 2077 download will be around 80 Gbs, coming close to Red Dead Redemption 2‘s 107 Gbs for the PS4. This download will take up an immense amount of storage on your console, but it shows just how in-depth the Nightcity metropolitan area will be. The game will have hours of open exploration, along with a deep story with thought-out characters.
