Succeeding its admired remake of Resident Evil 2, Capcom is going back to Raccoon City to touch up the next game in the survival horror series. The Resident Evil 3 reboot was announced during Sony’s State of Play Tuesday, as well as am April 3 release date for PS4, Xbox One and PC.

Gamers who played Resident Evil 3: Nemesis will remember that you will be playing as Jill Valentine. The heroic character attempts to escape the T-virus-ridden city and the relentless creature, Nemesis. Nemesis much like Mr. X in the Resident Evil 2 remake has gone through massive design upgrades. The remake offers new visuals,  more content and is built on Capcom’s RE Engine that also powers Resident Evil: Biohazard, RE2 and Devil May Cry 5

Rumors of a RE3 reboot hit an all time high last month while covers for the horror game popped up on PlayStation Network in early December. One addition that will make fans even happier is that the remake will include Resident Evil: Resistance, a 4-versus-1 survival game Capcom announced in September.

Players in North America will be able to purchase a special Resident Evil 3 Collector’s Edition. This offer will be available only at  GameStop for $179.99, this bundle consists of an 11-inch Jill Valentine statue, a special S.T.A.R.S. item box, a collector’s art book, a digital album soundtrack, a double-sided map of Raccoon City and of course, Resident Evil 2.
