Nintendo recently released an exciting new trailer announcing a brand-new Splatoon game, Splatoon Raiders, exclusive for the Nintendo Switch 2.

Users will play the role of a mechanic, embarking on an adventure with the Deep Cut trio through the Spirhalite Islands.

‘Splatoon 3 Update’

Version 10.0.0 of Splatoon 3 came to Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 on June 12. This update is free and includes the brand new Splatlands Collection. The collection will release with 30 new weapons, featuring new designs from the Barazushi and Emberz brands.

Freshness caps are raised, and players can earn in-game badges. The new update will utilize skill-based matchmaking for the Anarchy Battle series, known as Series Weapon Power, which tracks a player’s effectiveness per weapon based on their win-loss ratio.

Along with new weapons, an original Splatoon stage, Urchin Underpass, will be included in the stage rotation.

To wrap up the update, Splatoon 3 has improved the game’s location visuals, creating a smoother and more detailed finish. Players will also be able to play with friends across consoles, whether on the Nintendo Switch or the Nintendo Switch 2.

Social Media Response

Splatoon fans are thrilled for the new game, “Spin off game! 3rd kits! Switch 2 free upgrade! Urchin Underpass! They DID celebrate the 10th anniversary after all!”, commented a fan on YouTube.

Another fan expressed their excitement for the new game and updated, “This is really exciting! Third kits, finally, and a returning Splatoon 1 map! The new game also looks really interesting, as it seems to be a single-player story with a focus on Deep Cut, so we’ll get to see more of Deep Cut, which is nice”, they commented on the Nintendo Switch subreddit.
