Super Smash Bros.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate director Masahiro Sakurai has posted his last daily screenshot of the game on Twitter, after nearly three years.
“This concludes the daily Smash Ultimate screens I’ve been posting since Dec. 2019. Thank you for your support! #SmashBros,” he wrote, before adding, “However… I’ve been thinking about starting something new. (This time it won’t be daily, though). Check back around this time tomorrow for more info!”
The transition comes as no surprise as Kingdom Hearts, which was released in October 2021, featured the last downloadable content.
Some fans were excited to see Sakurai’s tweet, thinking that it could indicate a new game, but others argue Sakurai wouldn’t share news of a new game on Twitter.
