Tim Cook of Apple has never been one to tease new products before showing them off in an official keynote, but he must not be able to contain his excitement with the new gadgets. Cook recently sent an email to NBC News saying the new projects they are working on “will blow you away.”

“The design team is phenomenally talented,” Cook said in an email to NBC News, according to Business Recorder. “We know the truth, and we know the incredible things they’re capable of doing. The projects they’re working on will blow you away.”

Cook and Apple recently parted ways with Jony Ive, the lead CFO, who was with Apple for over 23 years. According to CNBC, the Wall Street Journal reported that Ive took a more “hands-off approach” when it came to leading the team the last few years, missing important meetings and focused less on breakthrough products. Cook saw the Journal report and sent an email to NBC News. “At a base level, it shows a lack of understanding about how the design team works and how Apple works,” Cook said, according to CNBC. “It distorts relationships, decisions and events to the point that we just don’t recognize the company it claims to describe.”

Cook has highlighted the design team’s steps under a new tenure and relayed his confidence with the team to make the next ground-breaking technology.

“As Jony has said, they’re stronger than ever, and I have complete confidence that they will thrive under Jeff, Evans, and Alan’s leadership,” Cook said in the email, according to Business Insider

In their most recent Keynote, Cook announced iOS 13, as well as a new Mac computer that will cost $6,000.

According to Bloomberg, Apple is rumored to be working on a new iPhone with 5G connectivity and 3D cameras, as well as a new set of AirPods, MacBook Pro and Apple Watch. Apple is also reportedly working on a long-term projects dealing with augmented reality glasses and automotive driving software.
